Forever. O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. (Psalm 119:89)
We believe in the veracity, inerrancy and sufficiency of the Bible. This means that God's word is all true, without errors and that it is all we need; Seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. (2 Peter 1:3)
Our enemy, Satan and his demonic forces, as well as, the false teachers and preachers who promote all kinds of false doctrines, try to add to or take away from God's perfect word. They also try to twist scripture, attempting to change the true source and meaning with the goal of confusing those who lack biblical discernment; But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. (2 Peter 1:20, 21)
The Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses and other cults deceive and then draw naive people away from the true gospel by attacking the veracity, inerrancy and sufficiency of God's word. This is certainly not a new tactic. Satan first did this with Eve in the Garden of Eden; Indeed, has God said... (Genesis 3:1)
But it is not only the cults who undermine the importance of God's word. Many so called evangelical churches fail to teach and preach much of the sound doctrines of God's word. Rather they emphasize emotional and personal experiences, human pragmatism and only teach doctrines that they determine are culturally relevant and acceptable to the masses.
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16 17) Maranatha!
