Although, no one can predict the exact day or hour (Matthew 24:36), Jesus said, "Now learn the parable from the fig tree; when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near; so you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He (Jesus) is near, right at the door." (Matthew 24:32-33)
One of those things or signs to watch for is the dramatic increase in the technology that will soon not only identify, but track and control every person on earth. With the advent of super fast computers with almost unlimited data storage, the world-wide internet system and millions of CCTV cameras watching everything, it is just a matter of time until no one can remain anonymous. Financial and banking professionals tell us that we are only a few years away from a cashless system where all transactions will be done digitally.
Of course all of this technology will have many good benefits, eliminating illegal drug transactions, illegal immigration, tax evasion, fraud, and most other crimes. We will all be under surveillance; where we are located, what we are doing, what we are buying or selling. But what happens when all this advanced technology and personal information is controlled by that most evil man the bible calls the Antichrist? ...for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six (666).
