The God of All Comfort

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Mercies and God of all comfort. (2 Corinthians 1:3)
One of the many blessings of being a child of God is that we are beneficiaries of His comfort. Sometimes God uses other Christians who minister to us in times of need, giving us God's comfort, encouragement, wisdom and peace.
As the Apostle James reminds us in James chapter one, we will all "encounter various trials" and "the testing of your faith." For Christians, encountering these various trials and testing of our faith should be considered "all joy"; knowing the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. (James 1:4)
There is often another important reason that we encounter various trials and then receive the comfort of God. No one is more prepared to minister God's comfort than someone who has already gone through a similar trial; Who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. (2 Corinthians 1:4)
It is those times when we are going through a trial and suffering physically or emotionally that we need the prayers, support, and encouragement of others. Especially from others who have previously experienced similar trials and understand what we are going through; And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:) Maranatha!
