Of course, we often cause our own unpleasant circumstances through our sinful activities and foolish decisions. But sometimes these trials and tribulations just seem to come "out of the blue" for no apparent reason. We encounter unexpected health issues, financial problems, or suffer from hurtful relationships. If you are a Christian, you need to remember that our loving,
sovereign God is truly working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28); And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. (James 1:3)
God may or may not remove your trials and tribulations. But you can have His supernatural peace in every circumstance by doing these three things:
1. Pray righteously; Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
2. Think righteously; Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. (Philippians 4:8)
3. Practice righteously; The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:9)
