Ultimate Foolishness

The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." (Psalm 53:1)
Of all the foolishness in this world, there is no greater fool than the one who says, "There is no God." Such ultimate foolishness is not a matter of intellect or education. Many with superior intelligence and higher education have foolishly concluded that there is no God. But God has revealed himself, not only in the Bible, but in a myriad of ways in what He has created; The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And their expanse is declaring the work of His hands. (Psalm 19:1)
There is an old saying; "Convince a fool against his will, and he is of the same opinion still." Fools who refuse to believe that there is a God, despite the abundant evidence, are willfully ignorant; For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools. (Romans 1:21, 22)
A fool's refusal to believe the truth will ultimately result in God's judgment and wrath; For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. (Romans 1:18-20)
It is, however, by faith alone that we know God. It is by faith that we understand His word and it is by faith that we believe His gospel message; And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6) Maranatha!
