I Love to Tell the Story

Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things again is no trouble to me, and it is a safeguard for you. (Philippians 3:1)
Sometimes people ask me why I almost always close my preaching message on Sundays with the gospel. After all, most of our folks have heard this gospel message from me hundreds of times. The answer is because; faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. (Romans 10:17)
Even though we are a small church, there are visitors, and, I'm sure, a few regular attendees as well, who have not yet heard the gospel, repented of their sins and trusted Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. For those of us who are believers, the repeated message of the cross is reassuring and comforting; For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18)
Actually, there are significant mission fields within many so called "evangelical churches". There are many people who have become comfortable in their unbelief in these churches and are self-deceived about their salvation and relationship with God. They think that they are saved from God's wrath because of their church affiliation, their baptism or other religious activities; Many will say to Me on that day, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?" And then I will declare to them, "I never knew you; Depart from Me you who practice lawlessness." (Matthew 7:22-23)
So we will continue to preach the word of God at Maranatha Bible Church, including the glorious gospel message of the cross of Jesus Christ. To preach the same things again is no trouble for me. Besides, as the lyrics from the old hymn say;
"I love to tell the story
Of unseen things above,
Of Jesus and His glory,
Of Jesus and His love.
I love to tell the story!"
