The Sinful World
By George J. Stroh
August 25, 2014

The heart is more deceitful than all else and is desperately sick; Who can understand it? (Jeremiah 17:9)

Some are surprised and shocked by the increasing numbers of horrific rapes, tortures and murders of innocent people, even children. Physiologists, psychiatrists, social engineers, politicians, educators and even many religious leaders try to blame these deviant acts on societal, parental and educational failures, poverty, or mental illness. The truth is there is evil in this world because the world is populated by sinners.

Contrary to popular opinion, people are not basically good. We are all born with a sin nature and therefore, sinners, who are basically evil; The heart is more deceitful than all else and is desperately sick; Who can understand it? furthermore, Satan, who is the personification of evil and the god of this sinful world, has blinded sinners who can't see God's truth; And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (2 Corinthians 4:3-4)

The bible says that this wicked, sinful world is going to get worse... much worse, before it gets better. And that there is no way for us to stop the increase of sin and evil acts. Only when God finally intervenes will sin and evil be eliminated. Just like in the days of Noah; Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (Genesis 6:5)

God, in His holiness and righteousness, will judge sinners and all who die in their sin will perish in an eternal hell. A few of us will be forgiven, saved from God's wrath and be given eternal life in heaven; For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16) Before it is too late, lets tell the world the truth! Maranatha!
