Waiting Patiently For The Lord

I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry. (Psalm 40:1)
One of the hardest lessons for us to learn is to wait patiently for the Lord. Some Christians, especially new and immature Christians, are like babies. And one of the common traits of babies is to be inpatient... They want what they want right now!
But God wants us to learn to wait patiently for Him, trusting that He hears our prayers and will always provide for us according to His perfect plan. This patient faith in God honors and glorifies Him; Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. (John 14:13, 14)
God often uses the trials and tribulations that we all encounter in this life to strengthen our faith and build our spiritual endurance; Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. (James 1:2-4)
Our patient faith and spiritual endurance produces magnified worship, praise and thanksgiving to our Lord; I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonders. I will be glad and exult in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.
